What's NEW with Home-Delivered Meals

Lisa Ingari
Home-Delivered Meals Program
Volunteer of the Quarter (October-December 2025)

Congratulations to Lisa Ingari, Volunteer of the Quarter. Lisa has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years, first as a volunteer for the Oviedo area 1990-2002, and she started volunteering in her current area, Chuluota the summer of 2013.

She shares that she has always loved delivering meals and felt the need to serve and give back to the community in some way. Lisa raised three “kiddos” while volunteering and remembers bringing her daughter along when she was 2 years old. One client in particular, Mrs. Hill, would scoop her up and give her the sweetest hugs.

The thing that Lisa enjoys the most about delivering meals are the conversations and forming relationships with the clients. Most clients are very grateful for, not just the meals, but the time you spend with them. We are sometimes the only person they get to interact with each day. And she loves hearing their personal stories and the history about our “little” Oviedo and Chuluota, which aren’t so little anymore.

Lisa says, “As a volunteer, I find this so rewarding.” Thank you, Lisa for all you do for Meals on Wheels, Etc. We appreciate the care and compassion you bring to your volunteer role.

James Warren

2025 Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to James Warren, our 2025 Volunteer of the Year! James was recognized during our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on October 15th but was unable to join us as he was visiting a family member out of town. James' commitment to the seniors he serves as part of the Home-Delivered Meals Program is above and beyond. The seniors love you and so do we!

Congratulations James!
