Adopt a Senior

March for Meals

The Need

The donation of your time, money or items helps us help hundreds of seniors in need. Meals on Wheels, Etc. has been caring for seniors in Seminole County for over 30 years. Today, we feed more than 2,750 seniors per year, yet there are 300 people on our waiting list. Many seniors live alone and do not have the ability to prepare hot meals or take care of the homes in which they live. These people desperately need someone to provide hot meals, transportation, help with chores and minor home repairs. Often, their only daily human contact with the outside world are the Meals on Wheels, Etc. drivers. But, with your help, we can keep on caring for the generation that cared for us as we grew into adulthood, because it is our turn to help them in their time of need.

• A donation of $38.00 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals for a local senior for 1 week.
• A donation of $152 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals for a local senior for 1 month.
• A donation of $1,824 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals for a local senior for 1 year.
• A donation of $5,000 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals, transportation to medical appointments and assistance with homemaking and chores for a homebound senior for 1 year.
