Adopt a Senior

This past year Meals on Wheels, Etc. provided over 175,000 nutritious meals to frail and elderly residents, yet there are over 400 seniors in Seminole County who are still on a waiting list for home-delivered meals.

They are our grandmothers, our neighbors, our fathers, our veterans, the people who raised us, and now they are in desperate need of our help.

Imagine what it would be like to not know where your next meal is coming from. This is the reality for a growing number of seniors in our community who are facing the threat of hunger.

The other population is growing faster than any other age group, and food insecurity is becoming their number one concern Funding cutbacks and increased costs for food and fuel are also contributing to this critical situation.

We need your help!

Your gift will deliver nourishment, confort, and independence.

2 nutritious meals a day delivered by friendly and caring volunteers may be the only contact a homebound senior has with the outside world.

• $8.00 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals for a local senior for 1 day
• $40.00 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals for a local senior for 1 week
• $160.00 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals for a local senior for 1 month
• $2,000.00 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals for a local senior for 1 year
• $5,000.00 can provide 2 daily nutritious meals, transportation to medical appointments, and assistance with homemaking and chores for a homebound senior for an entire year
